American Public Transportation Association (APTA) announced that Richard W. Andreski, president and CEO of Trinity Metro, has joined the Executive Committee of the APTA Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am honored to serve on APTA\u2019s Executive Committee, where I have the opportunity to represent Fort Worth and Tarrant County and engage with other transit leaders at a national level,\u201d Andreski said. \u201cThis opportunity comes at a critical time when federal policymakers are evaluating priorities for the next federal transportation bill.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are doing some interesting things at Trinity Metro, but the best is yet to come as Trinity Metro innovates and expands to meet the needs of our fast-growing city. I will bring back the best ideas that support our continued economic growth and great quality of life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Andreski also serves as vice chair of the APTA Commuter Rail Committee and chair of the APTA Awards Committee. In 2022, he joined Trinity Metro, where he leads a dedicated team delivering efficient and innovative transit services. Previously, he played critical leadership roles in the development of transit systems in the greater New York metro area at both NJ Transit and the Connecticut Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n
The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) is a nonprofit international association of more than 1,500 public and private sector member organizations.\u00a0APTA is the only association in North America that represents all modes of public transportation, including bus, paratransit, light rail, commuter rail, subways, waterborne services, and intercity and high-speed passenger rail. More than 90 percent of the people using public transportation in the United States and Canada ride APTA member systems.<\/p>\n
