{"id":3178,"date":"2024-08-28T12:15:40","date_gmt":"2024-08-28T12:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mywatchseries.me\/?p=3178"},"modified":"2024-09-06T15:51:39","modified_gmt":"2024-09-06T15:51:39","slug":"technip-energies-to-design-groundbreaking-low-carbon-hydrogen-facility-for-bp-in-the-united-kingdom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mywatchseries.me\/index.php\/2024\/08\/28\/technip-energies-to-design-groundbreaking-low-carbon-hydrogen-facility-for-bp-in-the-united-kingdom\/","title":{"rendered":"Technip Energies to design groundbreaking low-carbon hydrogen facility for bp in the United Kingdom"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>H2Teesside is expected to be one of the UK\u2019s largest\u202flow-carbon hydrogen production facilities\u00a0\u2013 fully integrated with carbon capture technology.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The project is targeting 1.2 GW of low-carbon hydrogen production, which equates to more than 10% of the UK\u2019s 2030 hydrogen production target.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>It could capture and send for storage over two\u202fmillion tonnes of CO<\/em><em>\u2082<\/em><em> per year, which is the equivalent to capturing\u202fthe emissions from the heating of one million UK households.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>This project could also support economic development, jobs creation and regeneration of the Teesside region.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Technip Energies and technology selection marks an important next step towards UK decarbonisation strategy.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technip Energies has been awarded the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract by bp for the H2Teesside project in the North East of the United Kingdom. H2Teesside is expected to be one of the UK\u2019s largest largest\u202flow-carbon hydrogen production facilities \u2013 fully integrated with carbon capture technology.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the FEED study, Technip Energies will deliver a comprehensive design utilising their in-house expertise and global best practices to design large scale project, integrating hydrogen and carbon capture technologies.<\/p>\n<p>In the perspective of a 2025 final investment decision, the next step for Technip Energies, if selected, will be to provide the full Engineering Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) package for the project.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the East Coast Cluster, the integrated H2Teesside hydrogen production and hydrogen distribution pipeline will integrate with other decarbonisation projects in the region. The CO<sub>2<\/sub> captured from the H2Teesside facility will be exported to the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) CO<sub>2<\/sub> gathering system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mario Tommaselli, SVP Gas and Low Carbon Energies of Technip Energies <\/strong>commented: <em>\u201cBeing selected for bp\u2019s H2Teesside project highlights Technip Energies\u2019 proven experience in working as a technology integrator on large-scale projects.
